In the analysis, Kiplinger ranked Oklahoma City No. 1 for the most affordable apartment rent among large metros nationwide. The typical apartment in Oklahoma City goes for $839 a month, or 46% less than the national average. OKC received high remarks for the city’s low overall housing costs, which run 33.5% below the national level.
